David E. Penfield
Director of Enforcer Program, MBDA Incorporated
David (Dave) Penfield is the Director of the Enforcer Initiative for MBDA Inc.
As Director of the Enforcer Initiative, David is responsible for all business development and technical program management for Enforcer in the United States. Additionally, he coordinates Trade Show activity for MBDA Inc.
Before his promotion to this new role, Mr. Penfield was the Engineering Manager responsible for overseeing engineering staff and support services for MBDA Inc. at our Huntsville, AL production facility. During this time, David Penfield also served as Chief Engineer on the Diamon Back Wing Assembly Production Program at MBDA Inc.
Mr. Penfield started his career in 1987 at General Dynamics as an Operations Analyst on the F-16 and the YF-22 Programs. He went on to Teledyne Brown Engineering in 1991, where he worked as a Principal Developer of the Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM). Before joining MBDA, he worked as the Manager of the Software Development Team for the Mission Computer of the F/A-18 Aircraft at Boeing and the Engineering Manager for the Viper Strike program at Northrop Grumman.
Mr. Penfield holds a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He resides in Huntsville, Alabama, where in his free time, he enjoys working to restore classic American muscle cars for the enjoyment of his wife and children.
