MBDA Missile Systems is proud to announce that Textron AirLand is displaying a Dual Mode Brimstone missile on its Scorpion Jet in honor of the 2014 AFA Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition. The aircraft will be exhibited at Reagan National Airport September 15-17 and will carry a Dual Mode Brimstone via a Cobham launcher, as well as Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) equipped with MBDA’s Diamond Back wing kit, among other products.
Commenting on the display, MBDA Missile Systems VP of Business Development Communications and Government Relations, Doug Denneny stated:
“MBDA is excited to display our Dual Mode Brimstone missile on Textron’s Scorpion. This is yet another example of DMB’s warfighter value as a multi-platform weapon. DMB is uniquely capable of addressing today’s challenges from practically any platform – Textron’s Scorpion, other fixed wing aircraft, Remotely Piloted Aircraft, rotary wing aircraft and naval vessels. Further, the latest version of Brimstone features an Insensitive Munitions (IM) rocket motor and warhead, further expanding the value of an already great weapon.”
